About Sargon V: World Class Chess

Sargon V: World Class Chess functions as a comprehensive chess environment for DOS, offering both competitive play and educational tools. Its system includes a challenging tournament mode alongside a beginner-friendly option that displays all legal moves.

Players can engage with the computer at various skill levels, compete with another person, or observe automated matches, including replays of famous historical games. The software provides multiple visual perspectives through different two-dimensional and three-dimensional board styles with animated pieces.

For learning, it contains annotated games with commentary from George Koltanowski and illustrative scenarios where users attempt to predict classic moves. A large opening book and extensive customization for game rules and presentation are included. The program also allows printing move lists and board position diagrams.
