About Pang

Pang is a game where the player controls a character who must clear levels of bouncing balloons. The primary tool is a hook shot that travels upward to pop balloons on contact.

Balloons split into two smaller ones when hit, unless they are at their smallest size, in which case they are eliminated. The playfield contains both destructible and indestructible barriers, which can block access to targets. The character can move horizontally and climb ladders but lacks a jumping ability.

Various power-ups appear to assist the player. These include weapons like a dual shot, a ceiling-mounted trap hook, and a rapid-fire gun that cannot break barriers. Other items provide temporary effects, such as stopping time, shrinking all balloons to their smallest size for easier scoring, or granting extra lives.
