About Master of Magic

Master of Magic is a strategy game where the player assumes the role of a wizard competing for dominance across two distinct worlds. Victory is achieved by eliminating rival wizards or by successfully completing a powerful endgame spell.

Gameplay involves managing cities to produce military units and resources, with a city development system reminiscent of the Civilization series. Strategic exploration and combat on the overworld map are presented from a top-down perspective. Controlling special locations known as nodes is a key objective, as they provide magical energy when properly claimed.

This magical energy, or mana, is a central resource that must be allocated between researching new spells and fueling magical activities. Combat can be resolved through automated calculation or through direct control in a separate tactical view. The game concludes if a player's central fortress is destroyed, all opponents are eliminated, or the ultimate Spell of Mastery is cast.
