About Heirs to the Throne

In this fantasy strategy title, players assume the role of a baron in a fractured realm. The setting is a continent once unified under a king, whose assassination has plunged the land back into conflict as rival lords vie for control.

Gameplay involves a phase-based structure where territorial expansion is the primary objective. This requires managing both military and economic concerns, from leading armies and planning battles to overseeing villages, collecting taxes, and handling finances.

Extensive customization is available through various gameplay options. These allow adjustments to the kingdom's size, the amount of unexplored territory, and the frequency of random events. One notable option introduces a challenging time pressure, framing the conquest as a race against the return of the kingdom's rightful heir. The game also supports hot-seat multiplayer for up to four participants.
