Also known as
Hard Drivin' 1 ハードドライビン

This 3D arcade racer challenges you to master high-speed laps and daring stunt track maneuvers while avoiding traffic.

Hard Drivin' was originally released in arcades in 1989. The DOS version was published by Domark in 1990, matching the legacy year.

About Hard Drivin’

Hard Drivin' is a racing game originally released for arcades. Players operate a sports car with the goal of navigating a course quickly while collecting checkpoints to extend the available time. The environment includes opposing and same-direction traffic, requiring caution during maneuvers.

The experience is divided between a longer speed-oriented circuit and a separate stunt track. The latter demands completing specific actions like traversing a loop or making jumps. Collisions are not severely penalized; instead, they trigger a brief cinematic replay of the incident before the vehicle is reset on the track, costing a few seconds to regain momentum. This makes the overall difficulty fair.

While home computer ports replicated the advanced 3D visuals of the era, they omitted the arcade cabinet's force-feedback feature.
