About Epic Baseball

Epic Baseball is a DOS title focused on the strategic management and coaching aspects of baseball. The player assumes the role of a coach who makes key decisions before and during games, such as setting player tactics and choosing pitching styles, while the on field action proceeds automatically. Graphical representations of the games are available but can be bypassed to view results directly.

Different editions of the software offer varying levels of content and control. The shareware version restricts users to exhibition matches with a limited set of historic teams and lacks customization tools. More comprehensive editions introduce league management, official MLBPA licenses, and utilities for editing schedules and generating reports. The most feature rich version adds stadiums and a separate disk for general manager functions, including player trades and team restructuring.
