About Boovie

Boovie is a DOS title that recreates a 1994 ZX Spectrum game. The objective in each single-screen stage is to deliver a specific brick to a designated tile, which advances the player to the next level.

Movement is not based on traditional jumping; the protagonist can traverse any unobstructed square on the screen. Gameplay involves a combination of actions including shooting enemies, avoiding them, and manipulating blocks, some of which must be destroyed and others moved.

The narrative setup explains these objectives. Boovie must rescue his kidnapped wife, Lili. Their peaceful life was disrupted by a construction project for a large mansion, which consumed all available bricks. The foreman, short one brick to finish a toilet base, took Lili hostage to obtain it.
